The USA Biology Olympiad rewards genuine understanding. Academic integrity is essential to keeping the competition fair for every student. This page sets out what we expect of participants in the China region.

Do your own work

Every answer you submit must be your own. During the exam you may not give or receive help, consult another person, or use unauthorised materials or devices unless the rules for that exam explicitly allow them.

No impersonation or misrepresentation

You must sit the exam yourself. Registering under false details, having someone sit the exam in your place, or misrepresenting your eligibility is a serious breach of integrity.

Protect exam materials

Exam questions and materials are confidential. Sharing, copying, photographing or distributing them — before, during or after the exam — is not permitted.

Consequences

Breaches of academic integrity may result in disqualification, withdrawal of awards, and exclusion from future participation, in line with the rules of the competition and its administrators. Where required, incidents may be reported to the relevant exam authorities.
